Be warned folks. This is a bit of a rant. So if you don't wish to read self absorbed waffle, please divert your eyes now, and walk on by! Okies, I have something to say, and I need to get it off my chest, otherwise I could quite possibly burst. I like it here at JU, alot. I like the people here at JU, alot. That's the reason I am here. I love writing, and I love the nice, kindly folk who grace my blog with their presence. I have blogged here at JU for over two years now. Over that time I hav...

I have a bit of a pet peeve. Well I have a few, but this is one of my big ones. I think that I have blogged about this before. I remember when the election was on here. I made sure that I read about all of the parties, so I knew what they all stood for, and so I could make an educated decision on who I would like to run this country. I took into consideration the things that I would like to see happen, and what direction I would like to see this country go in. I thought about it and realised th...

I can't say that I have ever been a Boy George fan.  Just not my kind of thing.  There is one picture that journalists have longed to get hold of, and they were willing to stalk, and follow, and harrass to get it.  So I wonder what photo that would be?  Well let me share with you.... Yep that's it folks.  That is Boy George 'enjoying' his community service.  Now I have to say he does look like a rather sad figure, and at first glance, I would say I even fel...

So I have to say I have a certain soft spot for the lovely Jamie Oliver.  There is something quite honest and nice about him.  He has a certain charm, and the work he has done here for kids schools dinners has worked wonders.  I opened the newspaper this morning and was faced with this picture.... Yep that's Jamie!  Who usually looks like this.... I was shocked and horrored in just about equal measures!  How could Jamie do this to himself????  I th...

I always knew as a chick I was a little richer than men, but now it's official. According to the Inland Revenue there are now more female millionaires aged between 18 and 44 than there are males. Currently women own 48% of the nation's personal wealth, but there are predictions this will rise to 60% by 2025. Nicola Horlick, herself an extremely successful business woman, launched Bramdiva, a financial advisory service for women with assets of a million pounds or more. She started trying to ...

Monday mornings are designed to make you feel crappy. There is just no doubt about it at all. You look and feel rougher than usual. Well at least I do. This Monday morning was no different. I was up at the ungodly hour of 7am. I know, how ever do I cope! I had to run about like a headless chicken, because I'm not one to prepare things. Where's the fun in that? So at about 8am I found myself in the middle of town, resembling the living dead, and searching for somewhere to get my picture taken. I...

My cousin is getting married. She is a few years older than me. She has been seeing her fella for about 10 years? Maybe a little less. They live together. They did split up for a while, due to erm....fear of commitment? I think that was the terminology used. Anyway, now they are getting married. The wedding of the century. On Sept 11th (hmm) they will tie the knot. This wedding has taken three years to plan. It has cost ALOT of money, and they are all excited, they can't wait. Now I am just a m...

I am a bit of a fiesty chick. Shocking I know. It is true though. I speak my mind, and I won't back down, and if I am challenged I will stand my ground. I think it is the best way to be. Alot of the time when I am introduced to new people, I can be a little cheeky, and my sense of humour is naturally sarcastic, and some people just don't know how to take it. Alot of the males I am friends with now have commented that on first meeting me they didn't like me, and it is only over time that they ha...

I was watching The Dragons Den the other day. If you haven't seen it, it's a pretty simple concept, people take business idea's to a panel of multi-millionaires and they decide whether they want to invest their hard earned cash into the ideas. For the most part they chew people up, and tell them how awful the idea is. If by a small chance they like the idea, they then proceed to rip them off, and get all they can out of it. I watched it, I have to say I love programmes like this, I am a bit of ...

I can't be helped. I hate not knowing how to do things, and taking advice from those closest to me, I just find impossible. I don't know what it is, but I get all frustrated and angry, and end up throwing the towel in. Where as coming from people I don't know, I manage alot better. I like to be good at things, and I hate it when I am in a position where I just don't know what to do. So, this leads us to a little problem. Just a little one. My bloke wants to teach me how to play chess. Because I...

When I was younger I wanted to be a writer. Well when I was really young I wanted to sell Ice-cream because I thought I could eat it all. Once I found out the big wide world didn't really work like that, I changed my career path, and writing it was. I have never really changed my mind about that. Reading books as a child I got lost in worlds that were created for me. I could picture them in my head, I could forget everything else that was going on, quite easily. I loved that. I wanted to be abl...

Scotland Yard has said they have discovered a plot to blow up flights from the UK to the US and commit "mass murder on an unimaginable scale". There was a plan to detonate hand luggage on as many as 10 aircrafts. 21 people were arrested, and they believe to have caught the main players. There are huge delays at all UK airports. The threat level in the UK is now critical, which is the highest it can possibley be.  Which means "an attack is expected imminently and indicates an ext...

There is a rather sexy man that graces my television screen most nights. He has his own 'alternative' show on one of the cable channels. He is extremely attractive, and charming. He creates alot of media attention for himself....for two reasons, he openly admits to having a sex addiction and to prove this he sleeps with lots of beautiful women. Kate Moss, and one of Bob Geldof's daughters are those amongst his conquests. These women know of his reputation. They have seen the pictures, heard the...

Well it is official folks....I am evil. There is some chemical reaction that is currently going on in my tiny mind that is making me into a two headed evil monster, and it ain't pretty. I'm even scaring myself. For a while now (so you can't blame it on what men usually blame womens moods on) I have noticed my behaviour, and moods becoming worse and worse, and my poor, poor fella seems to be at the recieving end of these mood swings. To be fair to him he does take them on the chin bless him, but...
