My Mum is 50(ish) and the thought of her dancing around in a leotard and dancing provocatively with men half her age just makes my skin crawl, and makes me want to crawl and hide under the nearest rock I can find. Of course my Mum isn't a world wide superstar who has had a career that spans decades, and has the ability to change with the times like no one else. Madonna has though. I don't think there is anyone in the world who doesn't know who Madonna is. Who couldn't name you at least one of h...

I can't say that I have ever been a Boy George fan.  Just not my kind of thing.  There is one picture that journalists have longed to get hold of, and they were willing to stalk, and follow, and harrass to get it.  So I wonder what photo that would be?  Well let me share with you.... Yep that's it folks.  That is Boy George 'enjoying' his community service.  Now I have to say he does look like a rather sad figure, and at first glance, I would say I even fel...

So I have to say I have a certain soft spot for the lovely Jamie Oliver.  There is something quite honest and nice about him.  He has a certain charm, and the work he has done here for kids schools dinners has worked wonders.  I opened the newspaper this morning and was faced with this picture.... Yep that's Jamie!  Who usually looks like this.... I was shocked and horrored in just about equal measures!  How could Jamie do this to himself????  I th...

I saw this: and I was pretty freaked out.  Is it just me or is this slightly weird? The model of the two-month-old baby is in Madame Tussauds in New York.  This is the youngest model to be created at the Times Square museum.  She is laid in a nursery with Mummy and Daddy watching over her.  Visitors can pay to have their picture taken with the family, and $1 will go to children's charity Unicef!  Which is good..... Janine DiGioacchino, general manager at M...

When I was young life was simple. You saw a good film on at the cinema...something along the lines of ET or Back to the Future...ahhh them were the days. You would pick your victim, and then proceed to annoy them, until they gave in and took you to the cinema. Alternatively, you could wait until they came out on VIDEO. Yes my friends, that was video, none of these round shiny cd thingies. Oh no, they were way ahead of my time. So the cinema was an experience in itself. There is absolutely no ot...

Imagine for a moment you have created a character, a character that would take over the world, take over the imagination of everyone that came into contact with them. Something that would become a household name. Imagine you had poured your heart and soul into creating them. Imagine they became popular beyond belief, and made more money than you could ever even imagine. Sounds good right? What if someone ripped you off though, and you only recieved a completely insignificant amount of money for...

Smile! That is the title of Lily Allen's song, and boy does she make you want to do that. This is yet another talent who has become popular due to a great deal of self promotion on MySpace. I first heard her song, and instantly liked it. I then went and got her album, wondering if she was just a one hit wonder...and what I found was an extremely fun, light hearted, witty album. I have to say I am a fan! I think there is another reason I like this chick. She is quite feisty. I spent ...

David Beckham returned to Manchester recently. I think it was for the England game. He decided to do a spot of shopping in the town Centre, and got completely mobbed. Nothing new there. He had a hat on, and someone stole it. The next day on the front page of the local newspaper was the girl who had 'stole' this hat. Looking extremely proud of herself. She told how she had took his hat, and pinched his bum. She then said how she was going to sell the hat. That newspaper recieved hundr...

I have the internet to thank for many things. One of the most recent things I can thank it for is opening me up to music that I normally I would of just passed by. Now some people love music. Their world would not be complete without an injection of some kind of music on a daily, hourly basis. I'm not one of these people. I like music, and if I don't listen to music I do start to miss it. However it isn't something that touches my life, songs don't drift into my soul, and give me someth...

In the world of celebrity the key word is 'ME'. Everything is about ME and ME alone. I suppose considering the attention they recieve their idea of self worth is inflated a great deal. Not always rightly so. Celebs get alot of attention. They get alot of attention, for the wrong reasons. The media builds hype around them, and the only thing worse than that is those that begin to believe their own hype. They begin to believe that their opinion matters more than the next persons. That t...

Lordi Lordi! Hehe....So I have a guilty pleasure, that I indulge myself in once a year. Every year the reason for doing so becomes less and less unclear, but yet I still put myself through it. So what am I talking about? Well that my friends would be the Eurovision song contest. *Holds head in shame*. Now for those of you who don't know what it is, first of all consider yourselves lucky, it pretty much explains itself. Musical artists (I use that term loosely) represent countries from...

I am SICK of seeing Friends. I don't think a single day goes past when I don't see a little bit of an episode of Friends. I was watching television today, and saw an old episode of friends. Fine...I guess, I can just about live with that. I watch a bit of it....then I flick through the channels again, and yet again I stumble across Friends! So again I leave it on, and I'm thinking to myself, this looks familiar (forgetting the other hundred times I've seen it) and it's only the episode t...

So I have a deep dark secret.....I haven't read The Da Vinci Code. I remember ages ago my sister ranting and raving about this book (her and the rest of the world) and I thought to myself, oh this isn't really my thing, I won't bother. Little did I know that I would be left to feel like a circus freak for not reading this book. So now I have to. Don't I? Or I could cheat and just watch the film. This is my dilema. Do I watch the film, and then read the book? Will watching the film rui...

I think I have grown out of the stage of my life where I really find celebrities attractive, or more to the point have crushes on them. In my younger years it was Mark Owen in Take That, and then we moved on to Nick Carter....that one I am ashamed of now, becuase I see him and I think what a moron. Then there was Joshua Jackson.....I still have quite a thing for him on the sly, hehe!! Anyway, as I have got older my attraction has taken a slightly different route. I am more attracted now ...

I've watched a ridiculous amount of television today. Old shows from years ago. One of them was the show 'Mad about you' with Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser. I do remember watching that years ago, but it has been a while. Anyway there was a discussion in the show about attractive cartoon characters. The winner was Betty from the flinstones. Ha, so this is attractive? There was another option...... I wonder why that one is huh! So JU, I what are your favourite cartoon char...
