"Conversation should be pleasant without scurrility, witty without affectation, free without indecency, learned without conceitedness, novel without falsehood."

Well what a surreal weekend I had. I planned on having a quiet weekend really. Except it just wasn't to be. For starters my insane sister came to stay for the weekend. Her and I are getting on slightly better these days, the less I see of her, the more I like her. So I wasn't too bothered that she was there for the weekend, except she has gone more fruitloop than usual. I walked in on Friday afternoon and there she was, looking like Cruella De Vil. I kid you not. Her hair is black at the moment, but its gone light in places, and she had this fur coat too. I tell you she just needed a few dogs around her ankles and she would be sorted. I'm used to my sister and her odd fashion looks though. So I sat down and started talking to her. We only do lightweight conversations. She kept winking at me though. At first I thought she was just being friendly, but she kept doing it and even when no one was talking to her and she was just sat there, her eye kept twitching. It freaked me out, and in the end I had to ask her what it was about. Apparently she's developed a twitch. Like you do. After watching her for a while I was afraid I was going to develop it. I asked her how it started, and she reckoned that she was just sat watching tv one night and it started. Odd. Luckily she had forgot all about it by Sunday, and her eyes were back to normal. I was tempted to remind her about it, just to see if it did return, but it's difficult to talk to someone who keeps winking. Anyway, by Friday evening I was sick of my lovely sister, so I went out for a meal with friends. The most awful meal ever, it left me feeling so sick. I won't go into detail, but it was awful. I had this banana ice-cream, ewwwwww, sickly isn't the word.

On Saturday, I watched my beloved Manchester United. Don't worry I won't bore you with details, all I'll say is we won! Yay! Then in the evening I went to a house party. It was my friends 21st birthday, and she was having a joint birthday party with her cousin who was also twenty one. It was really far out, took us ages to get there. The party was in the gardens, it was so cold! I'd never met my friends cousin before, I have to say he's the strangest person I have ever come across (obviously not including my sister). He had this toy monkey, that just didn't leave his side all night. He kept it wrapped around his neck. At one point one of his friends tried to wrestle this monkey off him, and there was a mini war. It was amusing to watch. I would of liked this boy, he seemed nice. Except he really grossed me out. The party was packed, there was so many people there. So when you got up to go anywhere you were straight in someones face, and at one point I walked past him, and as I went to squeeze past him, he licked my face! Ewwwwwww......I didn't really know how to react, I must of looked disgusted, because he started laughing. I continued on my way after 'accidently' standing on his foot. Strange boy!

There was two very special guests at the party. Not including me of course. Only special to me because I'm simple. My first is a claim to fame! A real life star at a party I was at! Wooohoo! Now obviously when I say their name you won't have a clue who they are, and you'll have to google for their name (like I did) but I knew, I knew them! I doubt anyone across the pond will know the television series, 'The Royle Family', it's a comedy series on BBC 1, bloody hilarious. Anyway, Craig Cash, who plays Dave in it was at the party! He was stood right next to me at one point! I even spoke to him! Saying, 'excuse me', counts right? In the programme he speaks really slow, and you think he's a bit thick. That's his real voice! I half expected him to sound completely different but he didn't! I was a little disappointed, but at least he is keeping it real. I expected him to dress better too. He seemed friendly enough though, and was mixing with everyone. Nice guy really.

The second person was a little more strange. I'm sure I have mentioned my ex boyfriend before who joined the Navy. I was with him when I was sixteen, so only a baby. I haven't heard from him, or seen him for years. He was at the party! It was great, and awful to see him at the same time. Which I know sounds odd. I have such good memories of him. Of the time I spent with him. I was a completely different person when I was sixteen. So different it's scarey. He couldn't get over how much I'd changed. It worked both ways. He was a man! When he left he was a boy! It was insane to see him. A bit sad too. I remember one time when me and him could just talk and talk, it wasn't so easy seeing him again though. He's left the Navy now. Which surprised me. I remember how excited he was about it all. I was slightly jealous that he was so passionate about something. I remember all the tests he had to do, all the training, all the effort he put in. Even talking to him while he was there, he sounded liked he loved it. Apparently people change. It had done him good though, I could see that. It was nice to see him. I have good memories of him, he was a good lad, and he was always good to me. I doubt we'll keep in touch though. To much time has past, and we are now completely different people. Funny how someone can be your world, and then all of a sudden they are just someone you say hello too.

Weird but good weekend, hope you all had a good one x
