"Conversation should be pleasant without scurrility, witty without affectation, free without indecency, learned without conceitedness, novel without falsehood."

Well it's official JU I am an old boring hag. I went out on Saturday night for a drink with the girls and then on to a club to shake my ass in an r'n'b club. Sounds all fun doesn't it. Can I just ask, when did the world get so violent? Maybe it's just because I don't see it, but I witnessed so many fights, and so many injuries on Saturday, it was awful. Why do people get so nasty when they have had a few drinks. We were waiting outside the club to get in, me and some friends. I was messing on my phone and not really paying much attention. These two boys, who looked like they were still fighting the demons of puberty were behind us. Both already really drunk, and they were talking to my friends. At first it was all light hearted. Then one of these boys just started grabbing my friends ass. She wasn't impressed. He thought it was a compliment. My friend didn't see it that way, and told him to get lost. Then they just started shouting and stuff. Silly boys. They didn't get in the vlub. What a shame.

Anyway, I have two points about my Saturday. I saw two things that really bothered me. Just for those of you who think I am a huge misery. I did enjoy my night, and I did enjoy dancing. I just like to moan. I went on the dancing floor and my friend was walking ahead of me and I was holding her hand. We walked through this couple who appeared to be having an argument. I didn't pay much attention. I wanted to dance. So we ended up behind this couple, who were still going for it. We just started dancing and ignoring them. A few minute passed, and this bloke just went into the back of me and nearly knocked me over. My friend pulled me out of the way and it truned out to be this couple. She was pushing him backwards. He looked like he was going to go for her any second, and a few people stepped in between them. They continued arguing, but it looked less violent. Then this girl just jumped in front of everyone, and just continuelly punched this lad in the face. He didn't attempt to stop her, defend himself or anything, he just let her do it. She busted his nose and lip. They were both bleeding. He looked like he could kill someone, but he just stood there while she continued shouting and screaming. Soon the bouncers arrived and guess who got thrown out? The guy of course. Now that just doesn't strike me as right. She hit him. She was mouthing off at him. Yet he gets kicked out? Double standards huh. It's ok for her to do all that to him, she can hit him as much as she wants, and just get away with it? I don't agree with men hitting women at all. It's wrong. I don't think it gives us the right to behave like that though, without expecting consequences.

The second thing that got to me was when I was walking out of the club. We started walking down the street to get a taxi and we saw this crowd gathered will all police and stuff. We walked past, and there was this guy on the floor, with all blood coming from his head. Some lass was crying over him and the police were questioning people. It's just awful people are capable of doing these things to each other. I hate violence of any kind. I sometimes feel like a little girl. When I see anything like that I just want to run home to my Mum and feel safe. I know silly. It's just sad that you go out for a laugh with your friends, and you see more police than anything else, and you're faced with sights like that. What is the world coming to?

I know, Sal. There's way too much nastiness in the world. I don't think alcohol really helps things, a lot of people get violent when they're out and drinking, and a lot of people are just violent in general.

It's a tough world. Luckily there's still people like you in it who actually care if people get hurt.

Stay safe honey,

A case of people who forgot they are suppose to have fun, not violence. Like Dylan says, alcohol and some people just produces violence. Different people have different reactions to alcohol, some become calmer, some friendlier and some definetly become more violent. I have a friend like that, if she drinks too much, she starts getting really nasty, throwing nuts at people and starting to become rude and demanding. She doesn't drink anymore, thank God for that.

What a piece of drama. I think she and him should both be made to go outside.

so familiar. Staring incidences often produce such results.

Thanks Dyl. I hate the way the world is turning out, it sucks.
