The odd couples

It's amazing what we are attracted too. We have these polls, agreeing who the most attractive female and males are. We all can kind of agree, that someone is traditionally good looking. It goes far deeper than that. People don't always end up with what we decide is typically good looking. Mostly because we are all attracted to different things. Some people go typically for looks, some go for personality, some go for confidence. It all depends what you like I guess. Now in Hollywood there are some really odd looking couples. That you just look at them, and think, hmmmm...here's a few examples of that couple....

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson

This is just personal opinion, but I look at these two and think, what does she see in him? She is gorgeous, and well, he's not. I'm sure there must be something I'm missing maybe she's just not as fickle as me. There is thirteen years between these two. Thirteen whole years. There are bigger age gaps in Hollywood of course. Knowing each other less than a year, they got married. They also have a child together. At least it works for them

Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn

This one is thirty five year age group. If only that was the only strange thing about this love match. A brief recap: (1) Soon-Yi was adopted at age eight by Farrow and Andre Previn during a trip to Korea. (2) Two years later, Woody and Mia began a relationship that lasted more than a decade. (3) Farrow found nude pictures of 21-year-old Previn in Allen's apartment in 1991. (4) Media chaos ensued. But, it seemed like Woody's affection for his longtime lover's daughter was more than fatherly. Five years after their affair (reportedly) began, Woody popped the question. Five years...they must have something.

Eric Clapton and Melia McEnery

Another big age gap. Thirty one years. Age gaps seem to be the huge theme here. Young women going for older men. Maybe they see some charisma or something in them. Whatever it is, it worked for these two. They met, married, and had a child together. Very nice.

Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne

My favourite couple. Who can't like the Osbournes, after watching their dysfunctional family. They have their own way of doing things, and though they might be very different they compliment each other beautifully.

These are just a few examples. Love is in the eye of the beholder. No matter how it looks to the rest of the world, if it works for you that's all that matters. As these couples prove, looks can be decieving, and it works for them, so why not us?
