11 Don't-Tell-the-Wife Secrets All Men Keep

Men confuse the hell out of me. One in particular really confuses me. Lets talk in general though. They send mixed messages. They backtrack. They lie. Their feelings are particularly difficult to understand, so in my search to understand men, yes ladies I am attempting the impossible

. I came across this list of secrets, hehe! Should be interesting.... ( These secrets were written by a man, obviously, so don't think I am getting confused by my own sex...waffle, read on...)

Secret #1: Yes, we fall in lust 10 times a day -- but it doesn't mean we want to leave you

This one I can understand. It is the look, but don't touch theory. I don't see the problem with that, it's not like us ladies are completely innocent here!

Secret #2: We actually do play golf to get away from you

More than 21 million American men play at least one round of golf a year; of those, an astounding 75 percent regularly shoot worse than 90 strokes a round. In other words, they stink. Everyone needs their own space. No matter how in love you are with someone you need to do your own thing, otherwise you would suffocate. That's why we shop, right ladies?

Secret #3: We're unnerved by the notion of commitment, even after we've made one to you

Commitment is a scary thing. For women too. Though I think women hide that fear slightly better than men. Plus growing up men and women have different ideas about thing. Not many men grow up dreaming of their wedding day, and what they will wear. That doesn't mean they don't want it.

Secret #4: Earning money makes us feel important

In more than 7.4 million U.S. marriages, the wife earns more than the husband -- almost double the number in 1981. Men and women have certain roles that society expect them to live up too. Men usually are the breadwinner. This is the way things have always been. As this statistic shows times are changing. I'm sure it dents some mens egos to find out their female counterparts earn more than them!

Secret #5: Though we often protest, we actually enjoy fixing things around the house

Hehe, this one made me giggle. What's there to say? Oh so manly! Makes you feel worthwhile huh? Because us women are so self sufficent hehe!

Secret #6: We like it when you mother us, but we're terrified that you'll become your mother

I heard somewhere men want the three M's. A Mrs, Mistress and Mother. All in the one woman. I so hope I never turn into my Mum!

Secret #7: Every year we love you more

Apparently, men emotionally are a few steps behind us ladies. So they take a little time to catch up, to realise what brilliant creatures we are, and are good for more than the bedroom! Once they discover we have a mind they are hooked!

Secret #8: We don't really understand what you're talking about

I feel this with most things! Not just men. Women tend to look into things more deeply. About relationships with things, and men don't always understand our trail of thought. Where are paranoid anxieties have lead us. Just like we don't always understand where you're coming from! Somethings it's probably better not to understand, for the sake of sanity!

Secret #9: We are terrified when you drive

Ahh the good old women can't drive theory...

Secret #10: We'll always wish we were 25 again

I guess i don't understand this one fully yet. I'm sure I will though, a wasted youth and all that!

Secret #11: Give us an inch and we'll give you a lifetime

The best way to understand this one is to quote the man who said this;
"This is the most important thing a man never told you: If you let us be dumb guys, if you embrace our stupid poker night, if you encourage us to go surfing -- by ourselves -- our silly little hearts, with their manly warts and all, will embrace you forever for it."

Please note that is all in good humour, and I'm not a complete sexist hehe! Just an interesting into the secrets of men! Speaking as a woman I can happily say we already knew most of it, as we know all! Hehe....

Hmm....men....with secrets....

...that's a load of crap....how hard is it to understand us ladies?....I mean come on, comedians have been telling the truth about us for years....and guess what, 95% of the stuff they say is right. It's the female sex which is the confusing one.....all of the thinking and planning you girls do.....ARGH and all of those emotions and opposite messages you say....such as...."It would be nice to have that, but I don't really want it.....its a waste of money...." and then your birthday is like two days away and when you don't get the specified thing, you're all sad and mopey......and won't tell anyone what's wrong.....that right there is confusing.....crazy double meanings and no means yes stuff.....

I'm sorry to say Sally ,but women have lost their edge.Only a few short years ago there was an un written law that women should out live men,even if they had to aggrevate them to death. Men were unsuspecting, they loved their wives and needed nothing more than a good meal and sex once or twice a year [which produced a child everytime] to believe they were loved too. A Headache was all it took to put a guy off,and his stress factor would soar though he wouldn't admit it.

Then along came TV ,Playboy ,Condoms,porn tapes etc. Men began to find out that sex relieved stress and bingo!!!

My wife cut me off about ten years ago [we've been married twenty five years and we're both seventy three] I think she thought we were supposed to retire from everything. Not me!! I still go through the hole in the fence once in awhile. We now giggle about who is going to out live whom. It really doesn't matter . Don't love so hard or hate so deep that you can't let it loose.....charlie poore

Zoo, we like men to think for thnemselves, BUT we also want them to do what we want them to do. So when we say we don't want something, just because it is to expensive, don't listen to us. We are just saying what we think we should, but hoping you will be all manly and do it anyway. Though on some occassions you should listen to us.....ahh ok, we are confusing, hehe!

As a man, I feel obliged to comment on the "secrets". I'll try to be brief ands tell you something that you (women in general) maybe don't know.... or I'm imagining you don't.

Comments:
1 - Probably depends on the age, but lust is something that is (it seems) more common in men. Although I would add - "even if we do cheat on you, it doesn't mean we want to leave you." However cheap that sounds
2 - Probably depends on a relationship - in a healthy relationship I can always say "Leave me alone for a few hours, I need some time for myself"
3 - Most men don't want a wedding. Some of them just want a party. Other hate the fuss. Commitment fear itself you got nailed quite correctly.
4 - Sometimes when you earn more (sometimes many times more) than your partner, you feel the need to have some things 'your way'. But in truth you have no more right for that even if your partner doesn't earn anything at all. It's the same for men and women I think.
5 - No. The men who pretend to like fixing things around the house are either mean and think they are saving money or want to be congratulated or want to feel successful in something.
6 - Everybody likes to have somebody take care of him. But you can have too much of a good thing.
7 - I think it's self-explanatory. If you are a good partner, with every year we'll have more reasons to love you.
8 - I would say: "We don't really understand what you are WORRYING about."
9 - Not only you - all women and most other men. We don't trust them.
10 - ...and have today's experience - than we could have all the 19-year olds we wanted.
11 - Truth. For some it's regular sex, for other good food, for another free drinking nights. Just fulfill our most important need (usually something trivial) and we'll be completely happy. It's a pitty this is not true for women who want all the needs fulfiled at the same time and don't want to tell you any of them until they leave you.

It's a pitty this is not true for women who want all the needs fulfiled at the same time and don't want to tell you any of them until they leave you.

Men want to feel important. Bringing home the bacon means you're doing your manly duties, making your woman happy, etc.,...it is something driven into our skulls at a young age.

I understand that, it is just the stereotypes of men and women that are drilled into us.

Stroking a man's ego is important. Without it, he'll waste away on ya
