I like manly men. Men who are real men. A little rough and ready. I don't dig a man who spends more time getting ready than me. I don't like a man that just gazes at himself more than me. I don't like a man that will only wear designer clothes. I don't like fem men. It seems that we are living in a world that these men are becoming more and more popular. Men should care about their appearance, use creams on their face, have plastic surgery, buy nice clothes, be in touch with their feelings. They are modern day men. They are metrosexual, here are a few definitions of the metrosexual male.
metrosexual (met.roh.SEK.shoo.ul) n. An urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle
The typical metrosexual is a young man with money to spend, living in or within easy reach of a metropolis — because that's where all the best shops, clubs, gyms and hairdressers are. He might be officially gay, straight or bisexual, but this is utterly immaterial because he has clearly taken himself as his own love object and pleasure as his sexual preference. Particular professions, such as modeling, waiting tables, media, pop music and, nowadays, sport, seem to attract them but, truth be told, like male vanity products and herpes, they're pretty much everywhere.

A metrosexual is a clotheshorse wrapped around a dandy fused with a narcissist. Like soccer star David Beckham, who has been known to paint his fingernails, the metrosexual is not afraid to embrace his feminine side. Why "metrosexual"? The metro- (city) prefix indicates this man's purely urban lifestyle, while the -sexual suffix comes from "homosexual," meaning that this man, although he is usually straight, embodies the heightened aesthetic sense often associated with certain types of gay men.
We all are well aware of the stereotypes that go with the gay lifestyle, and the certain feminine attributes gay men supposedly have. Metrosexual men incorperate this in to their straight lifestyle. They are in touch with their fem side, and could even appear to be gay, if we judge people on a certain stereotype. They aren't though, they like women as much as the next straight man.
Maybe this is why I have so much trouble finding a man, they are all to involved with their love affair in the mirror. Fighting for the bathroom, and the anti-wrinkle cream just doesn't appeal to me. I know the grass is always greener. That when men take on their caveman approach, and think they can just bash me over the head and carry me to their cave I don't appreciate that either. I just think a fem man would not do it for me. Give me my emotionally retarded, mirror free, none metrosexual anyday!
