The Beckhams are having another baby! Front page news! Far more important than murders, crime, war, politics! Of course it's far more important, I mean the Beckhams have pulled through them times of bad publicity, and are now ready to continue courting the media, because now it suits them. What is it about stars that demands this kind of attention. Why do us mere mortal have such an interest in them. Bookies are already taking bets on what they will call this child. I mean come on people? Do we really care what Mr over rated footballer, and his less than talentless wife do?
The sad truth is yes we do. It sells papers, magazines, and it's not just them, it's all celebrities. They lead lives that we will never have the chance too. Some of us get comfort out of have a peek hole into their lives. Some of us take pleasure in watching them fail. I admit I'm a celebrity whore. I get pleasure out of reading about them, and their stupid antics. I enjoy listening to them complain about media attention when things aren't going well for them, and then watch them try and get as much attention as possible when it suits them. They feel they need this media attention, or what's the point? If the papers aren't interested, then they must be something going wrong, they need publicity.
The Beckhams think a baby will make the Spanish football fans embrace them. They will show the world they are a tight, close family unit. I hope this baby is not a good publicity stunt, and is more about them as a family. I also this isn't a response to the affair that Mr Beckham supposedly had. To be fake isn't good, and celebrities don't have my sympathy, because their media relationship is give and take, but they seem to just want to take!
