hehe...for introducing me to JU
Published on June 7, 2004 By Sally jacobs In Blogging
I met Peter Maxwell probably around christmas time, and I was the same as most people, when faced with the great one himself, I didn't really know how to take him, and in a state of disbelief I just chose to ignore him. I did finally learn that everything he said was the truth, and he is a man of honour, once you reach this conclusion and believe me at some point everyone does, getting on with him is a whole lot easier! So during this time Petey joined JU and as far as I know, he became pretty popular relatively quickly, due to his out spoken, honest manner. He was either loved or hated, depending on how you took him. Obviously now he is just totally loved, hehe, at least by those that count! He told us alot about his blog and he was very enthusiastic about the website. I came on now and again to see what was happening in the world of Maxwell, but didn't really pay much attention to the rest of the site.

Then Petey started his love song stage ( a stage I personally miss!) and at that time not only did he amaze everyone with his excellent singing voice but he dedicated a love song to me (awww!). A Wet Wet, classic, Love is all around! Now as the song was dedicated to me I felt it only fair that I leave a comment for Petey, thanking him for this thoughtful declaration of love, even if it was just because he wanted to mount me! The first comment, and the first pull to JU!

A few days later I checked back and there was a few more comments between Dan and Petey mostly, and as the topic was me (kind of) I decided I should put my opinions forward. Petey started to encourage me to start a blog of my own, now at first I wasn't really in to the idea. i didn't think I'd have anything to write about, and from what I've seen there are some fabulous writers on the site, so why would anyone want to read anything I write? So even though Petey kept encouraging me I declined his offer. I still kept leaving comments on this article though, and I started reading other peoples blogs and Dan also encouraged me to join, so with a little persuasion, I decided what the heck, after seeking approval off Kermit of course, I'll start a blog and see what happens, if I'm bad, I'm bad. So I started this lovely blog. Now at first I thought the site was quite clicky, everyone knew each other and had formed friendships. So it was quite daunting (is that the right word?) but everyone (most people) were so friendly and it's nice to have feedback on what you write. I like reading about other peoples lives and what they get up to. I even enjoy some healthy debates. So it was all good fun. When I joined it was about the same time as the, ' What I think of you all', articles, which i didn't really understand, but they were insightful to see how people were percieved on the site. I decided to keep a low profile and that's what I did. I read a few blogs and commented and slowly but surely I've met some really nice people! People I would never normally meet, and it's nice to learn about them and how they live, plus there is just some truely fantastic writers here.

Kermit thinks I'm really sad for liking this site. He wonders what people find interesting about reading an article about a complete strangers life, and when it comes to my life i wonder the same thing. People can't possibly find me interesting. As sad as he thinks it is, he is a regular reader of my blog, and I think he quite likes it, because he gets to know things he normally might not get to know. Hmm....like I think he is absolutely adorable, and even though i'm annoyed with him I think he's the shit. That I'm going to miss him like crazy when he goes, and it makes my heart ache just thinking about it. I'm so not looking forward to tomorrow, it just sucks . Am I going on? I feel like I am! Who am I going to talk to though, who's going to make me smile, who am I going to bully, who am I going to be gay with. I really will miss my Kermit, love you.

Anyway off topic, this is a thank you to the great Petey for introducing me to JU, and just for you Petey, *cough* this site would cease to exist if it wasn't for the great one himself, Sir Peter maxwell, hehe! I'm also glad to know some really lovely people, without them JU would be nothing. Yes I know, I'm a good girl .

Is there any other way?

I find your articles very interesting as I'm sure many others do as well.

I think he quite likes it, because he gets to know things he normally might not get to know

That is one of the big attractions, isn't it?

Thank you for your kinds words Sally. It is amazing that you would just write this article for no apparent reason, good show!

Sally~jolly good show! . Yeah, I totally agree with you about the great Sir Peter Maxwell.  In fact, I first became curious about JU after reading Sir Peter's blogs big time. And Capt. Cornbread's. Also Tangled Wishes (where has she gone?). Then I checked out some of the others. And found there were quite a few really cool bloggers on here: Muggaz, WiseFawn, CareBear, Jess and Dyl. Just too many to name. So that's how I ended up starting my own blog too.

I have read many of your blogs also~I think you express yourself very well! You have a nice genuine quality that I find very refreshing, etc. And a nice sense of humor too (something I value more than anything else!). So I am very glad you started a blog here. And thanks for writing this cool article about SPM: He really is the greatest misunderstood prophet of all time, huh? KEEP ON BLOGGING BIG TIME!

The evidence to support the argument that I am responsible for JoeUser's success is overwhelming.

Thanks for the comment and the welcome mikimouse...I think!

Mason, thank you for your kind words, lovely as usual! This is definatly one attraction of the site, you can get thoughts across that you may usually not be able to tell people, it's a way to vent your frustrations in a constructive manner! So it's definatly a good thing!

Madpoet, there is definatly alot of inspiration on this site to encourage people to start a blog, and most are so friendly and nice, even Petey has his moments of niceness, hehe! I'm glad you like my articles, I'm not sure about the sense of humour though, I did the humour test on masons site, and it turns out I have no sense of humour, still not over that! Thanks for the comment!

Petey, I'm pleased i surprised you, I wonder where these kind words could of come from?? Ahh I guess we'll never know!

As a total wanker?

If you are going to insult me at least register as a user. Who the bloody hell does this peasant think they are Sally?

Sir Peter~why do the biggest cowards always post their hatred anonymously, huh? (Or create a very bad fake blogger's name?) It's so easy to be totally bitter online. I mean, its okay if somebody wants to be unfairly critical of the great SPM. All great folks get their fair share of jealous comments. But why insult Sally's wonderful article like this? She already offered a nice disclaimer, huh? (I think that's what it was? .) It's just more proof that you are quite resented because of your splendid creativity and brilliance! These silly little peasants just don't know when it's time to accept the facts, and act accordingly big time. ONWARD AND UPWARD OLD CHAP!

Sally~this is a wonderful article. I enjoyed reading it a lot. THANKS AGAIN!

I am glad your name has finally been used for good purposes Sir Peter!

not some vindictive user who is slandering your name in a mere bid for the acquisition of points! I am glad you brought Sally to JU - I enjoy her company immensely!!!

BAM!!!

Petey i don't know who this person is, Kermits younger sister would never dream of saying such a thing, and I know Kermit shares my opinion of your greatness, just some jealous peasant I guess!

Madpoet, You're so loyal to Petey! I don't understand why people are so jealous of Petey, they should just accpet he is better than them and be done with it, hehe! I'm glad you liked the disclaimer, and yes that's what it was, hehe! I'm glad you liked the article !

Muggaz, someone had to show their appreciation for the great one, and it definatly wasn't to gain points! I just wanted to thank him for introducing me to a great bunch of people, and your company isn't that bad either, hehe!

Past tense? Did someone tell you I was dead?

on Jun 08, 2004
Even if u were dead Sir Peter, you'd probably rise from the dead later anyway, much like Jesus.
