Appreciating Other Bloggers!

I like it here at JU. I like the freedom it gives me to write. I like the people that I 'meet', that allow me into their lives, even if it is only for a moment. There is a real community spirit, and I think that is what I like best. The lovely Maso wrote an article recently about inspiration, and what inspires us. Alot of people here inspire me on a daily basis, and I don't think that you can always show your appreciation to those that do, or let them know that they do. So I have devised 11 questions, that should allow us to let some people know what we think of them. It would be nice if some of you could answer the following questions too. Thanks!

Alrighty, so I shall go first...here is my appreciation list!

1) Favourite Blogger - Maso! He is just lovely, and writes funny, interesting blogs!

2) Most Interesting Blogger - Bluedev - I enjoy his articles on a variety of subjects.

3) Most Talented Blogger - Angelamarie88 - With each blog of hers I read it just gets better and better!

4) Most Dedicated Blogger - Doc - I think he is my most loyal reader, always there to make me smile and offer advice!

5) Nicest Blogger - Texas Wahine - This chick is nothing but lovely to me!

6) Most Opinionated Blogger - hehe, got to be the 'lil Whip! I love the way this chick stands by what she believes in and can cover so many different topics!

7) Cheekiest Blogger - Charlie Chonino - He makes me smile, and he is just so damn cute!

8) Blogger you would most like to hug - Dylan - She makes me want to cry sometimes, and I just want to hug her.

9) Most talented writer - Dylan - If you have read her stuff I don't need to explain that

10) Blogger you would most like to meet - Em - Me and this chick could get upto some trouble!

11) Blogger you miss the most - I have to say two for this one, that would be the lovely Mig, and Suz. Two wonderful chicks, and JU is a quieter place without them!

2) Most Interesting Blogger - MasomM. I think I would have liked to drive a truck if I was younger

3) Most Talented Blogger - Gideon McLeish. His range is awe inspiring

4) Most Dedicated Blogger - DharmaGrl. She writes in Happiness - and Sadness

5) Nicest Blogger - Sally Jacobs! Never a discouraging word heard!

6) Most Opinionated Blogger - Stevendedalus - He loves a good fight.

7) Cheekiest Blogger - Bahu - He can rile you up, but he does stick to his Guns

I'll just mention the bloggers that I read. I read them for all sorts of reasons--their personalities, their stories, their opinions, their wit...I could go on and on. I get wordy that way.

Some I respond to more than others, but I do appreciate everyone on here nonetheless:

All right, with no intent to offend, I'll make my list . . .

1) Favourite Blogger - BlueDev. When the lazy galoot gets around to writing things, I love to read 'em.

2) Most Interesting Blogger - I really have been digging Bakerstreet's articles of late . . .

3) Most Talented Blogger - I'd have to go with the Doc and say Gid. His articles are voluminous and well-written!

4) Most Dedicated Blogger - The Doc. No one else is around quite as much as him.

5) Nicest Blogger - Angela Marie. She's never got anything disparaging to say, it's always uplifting.

6) Most Opinionated Blogger - could anyone else fill this space but our Whip?

7) Cheekiest Blogger - You, of course, hon. And I love our little banters. Keeps me going sometimes. *sniff, sob*

8) Blogger you would most like to hug - Do BlueDev's kids count? If not, I'll pick Sally.

9) Most talented writer - Maso. I love his articles, and when he busts out some fiction, it's always a great read.

10) Blogger you would most like to meet - Em and Sally for sure. My two angels. Ah, the fun we'd have!

11) Blogger you miss the most - Amanda. Hope she sticks her head in here again eventually, under a different moniker, of course.

First of all, Sally, I can't believe you chose me over some of the others here. I'm am just humbled and touched (yep, in more ways than one

) and completely flattered. I've never been anybodys favourite anything, with the wonderful exception of my wife, of course. Hey, us 'Loners' have to stick together...

Okay, here goes:

1) Favourite Blogger - There are a few... The folk who are in my sidebar are people I regularly visit and enjoy reading. There are a few I constantly respond to and lurk around to see what they might come up with next and they probably know who they are so I don't need to say.

2) Most Interesting Blogger - Hmm, tough one. I really enjoy MasonM's blogs. His perspective, his worldliness, his intelligent, articulate pieces which have the potential to be boring but never are, are one of the main reasons I started blogging here. I wanted perspectives of people I might not ever meet or even associate with in real life (only because we move in vastly different circles). On the other hand, Shovel's articles about working in a prison and his Zen-like approach to day-to-day issues, his melancholy-laden pieces, his humour and the man himself, constantly delight me.

3) Most Talented Blogger - Ah, now this is really tough. So many of you out there have such unique ways of expressing yourselves and such different talents, it really is hard to narrow it down to a single one.

4) Most Dedicated Blogger - Would probably have to be Doc G. He'd not in Joe's Top 10 Users for nothin'.

5) Nicest Blogger - Without a doubt, Serenity. She is just... bloody lovely, a passionate writer and an all-the-way-through beautiful person.

6) Most Opinionated Blogger - Ah, that would probably have to be Little Whip. I dig a lot of what she says and admire how she is not afraid to call a spade a f*#king shovel

7) Cheekiest Blogger - I like your sense of humour, Sally. I think is very similar to mine. Cheeky is good. I also think Tex is a smart, sassy, funny lady whose cheekiness often cracks me up.

8) Blogger you would most like to hug - Oh, well, this is hard. I suppose at the moment, I think it would have to be Elie, just so he knows how much I care for him and what he is going through.

9) Most talented writer - Although he is going to completely disagree, I have to say Shovelheat. I always look forward to reading whatever he writes because it is so damn good, regardless of the subject.

10) Blogger you would most like to meet - locally, I'd love to bump heads with my fellow Aussies i.e. Toblerone, Migs, Champas, Cacto and Island Girl (not strictly Australian but at least she is in the right hemisphere). Internationally, I would love to meet all the people in my sidebar. Those I would really like to hang out with because I am almost certain we'd be great mates would be you, dear Sally, Shovel (my mate Joe), Tex and her wonderful family, Serenity and her wonderful family, Kelly and Doc.

11) Blogger you miss the most - I miss Floozie. A great writer, an Aussie chick living overseas (her particular perspective was good to read) and a lovely lady to boot. I also miss Phoenixboi, although he does pop up now and again. It would be good to have him back here regularly too.

There are others I lurk about who aren't in my sidebar and who I don't often respond to much. UDigItTheMost, InBloom (damn it, I am going to remember to do that quiz more regularly - I want to win at least once), JillUser, Karma, the Emperor, Baker, Gid and Myrrander, Dylan and a few others.

Hehe..I saw the loners thing, I was actually upset about my loner status until I saw that I was in such company (ironic huh!). I chose you for alot of reasons Maso, since I returned to JU, you have made me feel really welcome, and you have encouraged me and offered support on many occasions. I also love your blogs, and your general writing style. I just think you're a really decent guy, and I guess that's the main reason
